Basic principles:

By utilizing the heat energy released by the arc generated between the electrode and the furnace charge, the furnace charge mainly made of alumina and zirconia is heated to a molten state, and a series of physical and chemical changes occur at high temperatures, ultimately smelting zirconia corundum.

Technical Parameter
Power supply: High power power is usually used to meet the high temperature requirements of electric arc furnaces, with common capacities of several thousand kilovolt amperes or even higher, such as the HY2.8-4000kVA zirconia alumina electric arc furnace equipment.
Electrode: Graphite electrodes are generally used, which have good conductivity and high temperature resistance. The diameter, length, and other dimensions of the electrode are determined according to the specifications and production requirements of the electric arc furnace.
Temperature control: It can achieve precise temperature control and raise the temperature inside the furnace to over 2000 ℃, meeting the high temperature conditions required for zirconia corundum smelting.
