ASME B16.9 S/R Elbow Dimensions

The standard short-radius(S/R) elbows of ASME B16.9 are generally furnished in 90°. It makes a much sharper turn than does the long radius elbows. The center-to-end dimension is 1D radius which equals to 1 x NPS in inch unit. Conversely, the S/R elbow creates a rather large pressure drop inside the line and does not have the smooth flow characteristics the L/R elbow has.
